The University offers admission to various undergraduate programmes in the field of Science, Commerce, Arts, Fine Arts, Management and Law. The eligibility for UG programmes is a pass in 10+2 level. The University is public-funded affiliating university and has around 4 lakhs undergraduate students registered in 151 affiliated colleges.  A Sizable number of students opt for higher studies in other national and international institutes/ universities of repute. Students also explore entrepreneurship opportunities organized through diverse entrepreneurship training programmes. Around 2500 top level students out of 4 lakhs get opportunity to study few undergraduate programmes like  B.Tech, Human Development and Law etc. directly in the university campuses.

 The Faculty of Engineering & Technology consists of 9 departments offers B.Tech. courses over 50 years and during this period university has produced many successful professionals contributing brilliantly in academics, industry and R&D organizations across the globe. The courses not to mention its past glory as per national and international standards these automatically makes this university one of source of attraction for the bright students. All these courses of the university are supported through the Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP) Phase III funding of MHRD, Govt. of India. The technology departments have several collaborations with the reputed Universities, Research Institutes both within and outside India. The research activities done in the technology departments of our university are rated among the best in India, which gets reflected by the large number of funded projects and recognition achieved by the faculties.   The students in the various technology courses of the University are given opportunity to work as interns in premier industries and organizations so that they get the proper exposure to get trained for professional jobs in leading industries. Short-term industry visits are also a part of the curriculum in many of the departments of the University to make the students acquainted with the industry and professional environment. Majority of the students get their job through the active support of the training and placement cell of the University. A good number of students also opt for higher studies in other national and international institutes/universities of repute. A fraction of the students also explore entrepreneurship opportunities, which is now getting popular through the various entrepreneurship training program organised by the university and governmental efforts.

The subject Human Development is a developing subject with wide scope. It is an integral part of the discipline Home Science. It focuses on human growth and development throughout the life-span and on the familial, social, cultural and political networks in which the individual develops. The subject is a combination of behavioural science and includes different stages of life, child psychology, education of the young children, child rearing practices, family relations, child and women welfare policies, parent and community education, etc. The subject is also important for the development of an individual as it promotes well-being, guidance & counseling, mental health promotion, so that one can rectify his behaviour and promote mental health which indirectly helps in nation building.
