Part of the University of Essex, Edge Hotel School is located on the campus in Colchester, about a one-hour train journey from London. Teaching takes place in a real 4* hotel, Wivenhoe House, an 18th century country house which has been lovingly restored.
The Edge Hotel School offers two-year accelerated degrees, with 45 weeks of study in each year. Students can either study a bachelor’s degree in hotel management, or a bachelor’s degree in events management with hospitality.
Edge Hotel School students are guaranteed accommodation on the University of Essex’s campus. As well as a vast range of on-campus facilities, students are also ideally located to make the most of Colchester town center, which is home to several bars and clubs as well as a cinema, restaurants and high street shops. As the oldest recorded town in Britain, Colchester also has several sites of historical and cultural importance, including a castle, Roman wall and the ruins of a former priory.
To apply, you must have at least three Cs at A-Level or equivalent. You must also hold the equivalent of five GCSEs at C grade or above, including math and English language.
