Voronezh State Agrarian University n.a. Emperor Peter the Great

The Voronezh State Agrarian University named after Emperor Peter the Great (Voronezh SAU) was founded in 19 12 as a monument to the contribution of Peter the Great to the Voronezh region.

It's the first higher institution in the Central Black Earth Region and one of the oldest agricultural university in Russia. Its creation was the beginning of the formation of an agricultural educational system in Russia which currently includes 54 universities.

According to the results of the rating of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia the Voronezh SAU is among the leading agricultural universities, besides it occupies 4-8 positions in many other national independent ratings.

The quality management system of Voronezh SAU is certified for compliance with ISO9001:2015 by DQS Holding GmbH(Germany).

The university carries out  educational activities in 267 programs at the level of higher education (19 directions of undergraduate degree, 3 specialties, 18 directions of postgraduate degree) and secondary vocational education(3 specialties).

More than 500 academic staff (420 of them have scientific titles and degrees,106 Doctors, Professors) work at 7 faculties, 32 Departments and the Department of secondary vocational education. More than 13 thousand students study at the university.

Its structure includes educational-research-technological center "Agrotechnology"(120 hectares of experimental fields, a pomological garden), Botanical Garden n.a.B.A.Keller, School of Training Refresher Courses, Research Centers, an Exhibition Complex with Techno-park, a network of 24 centers for access to  information resources, 45 basic schools and 38 basic departments. Additionally Voronezh SAU has more than 330 industrial partners.

The university has got 5 Dissertation Councils for the defence of PhD thesises, 5 periodical Research Journals. lso it collaborates with 48 foreign partners in 24 countries. The Preparatory Division for foreign citizens works at Voronezh SAU.
