In the 2011-2012 academic year, 7755 students have studied at 23 Departments in seven Faculties, 18 Programs in three Vocational Schools of Higher Education, and 6 PhD and 28 Masters Programs in two Institutes at IKU. A total of 611 instructors, 383 full-time and 228 part time instructors have lectured. Students/instructors ratio at IKU is 11. Courses and practical applications are conducted in small groups by enabling active involvement of the students. 24.4% of IKU students are students placed by ÖSYM in a scholarship program. Besides, the Foundation which established IKU has provided 35% of students with full scholarships, and monthly and financial aid. In this case, approximately every two out of three IKU students benefit from scholarships.Students enrolled in Associate Degree and graduate programs at IKU graduated for the first time in the 1998-1999 academic year, whereas undergraduate students at IKU graduated for the first time in the 2000-2001 academic year. All IKU graduates started their careers successfully while graduates of Associate Degree were admitted to bachelor’s degree programs via vertical transfer.
