Omsk State Pedagogical University

To apply for a program candidate should send an application form and a copy of passport (page with ID photo and previous Russian visas if there were any) to the Office of International Cooperation via email common@omgpu.ru.

After the approval of the application the candidate should provide OSPU with the following documents:

1. CV.
2. Medical certificate.
3. HIV certificate.

Once the documents received the University provides the candidate with an official visa invitation. The process takes 4-6 weeks. EU citizens applying for short-course programs as Summer school, Winter school or Language courses are provided with a facilitated letter of invitation via email. http://omgpu.ru/nauka 

OSPU international students live in a special block of the OSPU Residence Hall in the centre of the city (about 2 minutes’ walk from the main building of OSPU). Each section of the block has a kitchen, living room, laundry, shower cabins.

Russian as Foreign Language

Omsk State Pedagogical University welcomes international students to attend the Russian Language Training Programs. Having an extensive experience in training international students, OSPU provides an opportunity to study Russian as a foreign language in a natural academic and cultural environment.

The Department of Russian as a Foreign Language has been a fixture of the School of Philology in Omsk State Pedagogical University since 1991. Nowadays the department has a great experience in teaching foreign students with different proficiency in Russian, including ones who have never studied Russian before. The teaching staff regularly attend refresher courses at universities in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tomsk, Novosibirsk and have participant certificates. The citizens of Austria, Belgium, Germany, Egypt, Italy, Kazakstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Netherlands, Slovakia, the USA, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, South Korea and Japan have studied at the University during the last two years.

Russian Language Training Programs (both individual and in groups) are available in different lengths of time (from 1 month to 1 year). Individual course is set up according to the students’ proficiency of Russian and the goals they would like to accomplish.Summer School of Russian Language and Country Studies

Omsk State Pedagogical University welcomes international students to attend the Russian Language and Country Studies Summer School.

Having extensive experience in international students training, OSPU provides a unique opportunity for students to study the Russian language and learn more about Siberian life and culture during their summer vacations.

Winter School of Russian Language and Country Studies

Winter school period: February.

Duration: 16 days. 

Since 2005 in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Russian Federation and Russian Consulate General in Strasbourg (France), as part of the Agreement of Cooperation with Klagenfurt University (Austria), Summer School of Russian Language and Country Studies is held in OSPU. In the last 2 years more than 100 foreign citizens have attended Summer School and got familiar with sights of both Omsk city and Omsk District. Summer School of Russian Language and Country Studies offers three-weeks intensive Russian language course (18 hours/week), including an introduction to Siberian culture and excursion activities.
