At present, there are two postgraduate courses at the Faculty. Research work of the postgraduates is guided by Prof., PhD (Philology) I.V. Tarakanov; Prof., PhD (Philology) V.K. Kelmakov, Prof. A.F. Shutov; Prof., Cand. of Sc. (Philology) Z.A. Bogomolova; Prof., PhD (Philology) V.M. Vanushev; Assistant Professor, Cand. of Sc. (Philology) V.L. Shibanov Along with the postgraduate courses, according to the Decree ? 102 of the Supreme Examination Board of the Ministry of Education of Russian Federation (March 23, 1993) the Specialized Council for Candidates` Theses Defending (K.064.47.04) in the following majors was opened at the Faculty: • 10.02.07 - `Finno-Ugric and Samodian Languages, • 10.02.19 - `Theory of Linguistics (Philology).
