Universidad Francisco Gavidia, named after the Salvadoran writer Francisco Gavidia, is located in San Salvador, El Salvador. Founded in 1981, the university has embraced technological developments in recent years, establishing a Microsoft IT Academy and Graphic Design classroom. The university runs its own scholarship program and offers another scholarship in association with the CREDOMATIC Bank. Applications for both of these open in November each year
