Universidad Nacional del Nordeste is an Argentine university located in the cities of Corrientes and Resistencia. The former is known for being home to some of Argentina's largest carnival celebrations, while the latter is known to be one of the hottest cities in the country. Temperatures in Resistencia can reach as high as 30 to 35 °C (86.0 to 95.0 °F) in the summer.

The university has over a dozen different faculties, covering subjects such as architecture, agroindustry, medical sciences and informatics. Established in 1956, over 50,000 students are enrolled at the university while it employs approximately 4,500 academic staff.
