KNWTTU’s graduate and doctoral students play a central role in the university’s wide-ranging research activities and make a vital contribution to the overall educational experience.
Master’s degree program was formed in 2002 and is responsible for the majority of KNWTTU’s postgraduate degree programs in the Humanities, Еducation, and Natural Sciences. It offers Master of Arts, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in around 40 educational programs (28 for Master’s and 12 for Doctoral).
The contingent of students in 2019 is 383 graduate students and 58 doctoral students.
Documents to upload in support of an application include university transcripts, letters of recommendation, a statement of purpose. International students whose first language is not English may have to demonstrate their language proficiency by taking a test such as the TOEFL or IELTS.
The academic year at KNWTTU is divided into semesters, with postgraduate tuition costing US$4000 annually, with housing and board an extra cost.
Employment of graduates, as a factor in the competitiveness of the university, in 2019 was 84% for master's programs, 100% for doctoral studies.
International students are an integral part of the modern education system in Kazakhstan. Also, they are guides of the Kazakh language and traditions of Kazakh culture in their countries. State provides many opportunities for international students in the form of scholarship programs. In 2019, the number of foreign students was 127 people.
