Narxoz offers 21 full master degrees and 6 PhD wide range programs which help you facilitate your career progression. During master degree programs students have a chance to take experience in International Summer Schools and Short Intensive Programs. They funded by Ministry of Education and Science of Republic of Kazakhstan.
The department of Doctoral Studies offers 6 PhD programs: Economics, Finance, Accounting, Management, Marketing, Public Administration, and 2 DBA programs including International DBA (Doctor of Business Administration).
PhD program is a full-time and theoretically grounded research degree that prepares students for careers in research and teaching. Consistent with accreditation guidelines, the PhD curriculum includes courses on Research Methodology, Econometrics, Academic Writing, Development Economics, etc. Apart from theoretical training, the curriculum includes practical training (pedagogical and research internships) as well as research work including publications and writing a doctoral thesis. Each PhD student has two research supervisors: local and external (from foreign university). Students work one-on-one with their supervisors to develop the skills needed for writing a doctoral thesis, publications and further career in academia. PhD students actively participate in the monthly Research Seminars where they present their papers, intermediate results of research, and get feedback from the professors and experts. Along with the Research Seminars, doctoral students are encouraged to participate in the international conferences, round table discussions and seminars.
DBA program is a practice-oriented, professional doctoral program intended for top and senior managers who want to expand their knowledge and improve professional skills. A combination of analytical, practical, and research-based approaches is used to equip graduates with a theoretical and practical real-world understanding of business administration principles and practices.
Language of instruction is English. Lecturers are highly skilled professors who have PhD degrees of foreign (mostly western) universities.
All Doctoral programs have been accredited by the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR) and CEEMAN. According to the results of the last IAAR national ranking, doctoral programs at Narxoz University received leading positions among the other doctoral programs in Kazakhstani Universities.
