In its relentless pursuit ofexcellence, Mapúa has subjected itself to local and international accreditationsand certifications. To date, Mapúahas accreditation from ABET’s Engineering Accreditation Commission for 11engineering programs and from its Computing Accreditation Commission for three(3) computing programs. It has obtained the highest accreditation from the Philippine Technological Council Accreditation and Certification Board for Engineeringand Technology Engineering Accreditation Commission (ACBET-EAC) for itschemical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, electricalengineering, electronics engineering, environmental and sanitary engineering,industrial engineering, and mechanical engineering programs. Moreover, the Philippine Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has recognizedMapúa’s chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, electricalengineering, electronics engineering, environmental and sanitary engineering, mechanicalengineering, and information technology as centers of excellence (COE), and theindustrial engineering program as a center of development (COD), the mostnumber among all Philippine engineering schools.
On May 18, 2017, the Philippine Commission on HigherEducation (CHED) granted the university status to Mapúa pursuant to MemorandumOrder No. 46, Series of 2012, “Policy-Standard to Enhance Quality Assurance(QA) in Philippine Higher Education through an Outcomes-based andTypology-based QA.”
After attaining the university status,Mapúa was awarded with an overall rating of three stars by the QuacquerelliSymonds (QS) Stars.
