MIREA - Russian Technological University

MIREA - Russian Technological University has an extensive network of research centers, scientific laboratories and student design offices. It is proud of its highly qualified faculty, modern technical and material resources, vigorous scientific activity and extensive international links. 

The faculty of University includes 21 fellow and corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as more than 280 members of other academies and scientific organizations including international ones. Internationally recognized achievements of scientific schools and researchers of MIREA — Russian Technological University are the basis of strong partnership with universities, scientific centers, production corporations of Germany, France, South Korea, Singapore, Finland, China, Japan and other countries. 

In the framework of education in the Russian Federation, the University conducts training generally resulting in the following degrees: Bachelor’s, Specialist’s, Master’s and PhD where Master’s and PhD defined as postgraduate education. Persons eligible for Master’s program must possess a Bachelor’s or Specialist’s degree. Master’s program duration is 2 years. Upon completing the training, students are certified as a Master and may choose to continue training for a PhD.

Postgraduate programs (PhD) training is conducted according to postdoc programs lasting 3-4 years (depending on the area of research). Upon completing the training, students are to defend their theses and certified as a Doctor of Philosophy.
