M.Kh.Dulaty Taraz Regional University

NPLC “M.Kh. Dulaty Taraz Regional University” (Dulaty University) is one of the largest higher educational universities of the Southern region of Kazakhstan. It is located in Taraz city. Dulaty University was created by the merger of the RSE on the REM “M.Kh. Dulaty Taraz State University” and RSE on the REM “Taraz State Pedagogical University” on June 2020 by Committee of State Property and Privatization of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Dulaty University is accredited by the National Accreditation Agency, which recognizes its compliance with standards of higher education. Many university programs have separate accreditation as well. The University has successfully entered the top 301-350 QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia (EECA) rating and according to the Academic Ranking-European Standard (ARES), it is on the 8A+ position among 95 Kazakhstan Universities. In addition, Dulaty University is ranked in the National University Rankings as one of the 10 TOP universities.

Dulaty University offers a broad range of degree programs: 138 bachelor programs, 107 master programs and 14 PhD programs. The student content includes 19692 bachelor students, 636 master students and 50 PhD students from across the country. International students from 9 countries comprise 2038 students; it is 10 percent of the student body. The University has 3378 students on a state scholarship. 963 staff includes 40 Doctor of Science, 286 Candidate of Science and 60 PhD, among them members of the National Academy of Sciences, Academy of Engineering and Academy of Natural Sciences.

At this moment, the University has active agreements with 143 higher education institutions in more than 30 countries. In accordance with the agreements, students study under the double-degree program at 4 universities of Russia, Poland and Portugal. The University concentrates its efforts on joining the EAEU and contributes to the development of Eurasian integration.

Dulaty University consists of 60 departments, 2 institutes and 6 faculties. Material, technical and social base, located in the operational management of University consists of 97 facilities with a total area of 208938.3 sq. The university has 42 educational and laboratory buildings with a total area of 99118.3 sq. The University has 4 dormitories, 8 indoor and 7 outdoor sports halls equipped with the appropriate sports equipment with a total area of 36 952.9 sq. and a country sports camp.

Dulaty University has many societies and sports clubs for students, such as musical club, vocal art, dance club, theatrical club, poetry club, military-patriotic club, literary club and ecological club.
