Northumbria’s main campus is located in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North East of England, less than three hours from London and just over an hour from Edinburgh, with extensive direct international air links to the likes of Dubai, Florida and all major European hubs. The University also has a campus in the centre of London and recently opened a European base in Amsterdam too. The cost of living is lower in Newcastle than many other cities in the UK and it is regularly voted one of the best UK cities for students! Northumbria boasts one of the best city campus sites in the country having invested well over £250 million in outstanding new facilities for students, including its most recent additions of extensive new architecture studios and a new building for students studying computing and information sciences courses. A huge £30 million sport centre in the heart of the campus provides students with an extensive gym, swimming pool, climbing wall, sports halls and fitness classes, as well as a 3,000-seat arena.
