After getting a Bachelor's degree, students can apply for Master's programs. There're 17 Master's programs that help students widen their knowledge primarily in the Agricultural sphere, Animal Sciences, and Ecology.

Omsk SAU priority is to spread more diverse and accessible education, so it also offers non-agricultural study programs:

  • Economics;
  • Management;
  • Standardization and Metrology;
  • Technological Vehicle and System Operation.

The academic workload of the master’s program amounts to 120 ECTS. The intramural training period, including the holidays following the federal state examination, covers 2 years. Mixed and extra-mural training periods exceed intramural up to no less than 3 months and no more than 6 months.

The next stage of postgraduate education is a PhD. In Omsk SAU, there're 24 doctoral programs that can be divided into 3 big groups:

  1. Biological Sciences;
  2. Agriculture;
  3. Veterinary and Zootechny sciences.

There are also programs aimed at ecological studies.

The academic workload of doctoral studies varies from 180 to 240 ECTS. The extramural training period exceeds intramural up to no less than 6 months and no more than 1 year.

Having completed a Master's course, a student can teach at schools, colleges or universities. Those completed doctoral programs can become PhDs. They can act as doctoral advisors.
