Toraighyrov University

Toraighyrov University (TOU) is one of the largest universities in Kazakhstan. TOU is the center of education, science and culture not only in the Pavlodar Region, but also in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Toraighyrov University was established on the basis of the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR of September 20, 1960 (former Industrial Institute).
TOU is a higher educational institution with a great and glorious biography: for more than half a century, this university has been training highly professional personnel for the whole country. Today it is a multi-functional university of innovative type, the leading university in the region, the largest scientific center, widely known for its innovations and achievements in the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad.

According to the annual general rating, Toraighyrov University is among the top five leaders among the best multidisciplinary universities in Kazakhstan.
Our university is also a full member of the Bologna Charter of Classical Universities of the world, a member of the international association for the exchange of student internships LAESTE, the association of Siberian Open University, the Association of universities of Kazakhstan and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The University is accredited for a period of 5 years by the Accreditation Agency  "Independent Agency of Accreditation and Rating" (IAAR), Certificate No. AA 0124, December 20, 2018 to December 19, 2023).The University trains specialists of higher professional education in various fields in the state and Russian languages in 150 educational programs, including 79 bachelor's degree specialties.
At Toraigyrov University, all graduates of educational programs are 100 % accredited by IQAA, IAAR, KAZSEE and the international agency ASIIN.
In 19 departments of the university there are invited teachers-practitioners from the real sector of the economy.
There is a library with a collection of educational and scientific literature: in the format of printed and electronic publications, providing 100 % of the disciplines of the educational program of the direction of training.
In the presence of more than 70% of the specialized scientific and technical, scientific and methodological, experimental base in the requested area of training in accordance with the educational program of the master's and doctoral programs, a branch of the department.
5 departments of the university are certified and accredited by specialized laboratories.
Toraigyrov University cooperates and has 170 contracts with foreign universities.
The University has 240 international students.
Students actively participate in volunteer activities. Lavie Dobro Volunteer Clubs are open at the university.
Also, students are trained in the framework of two-degree education in 9 educational programs.
The University has 3 campuses.
The total number of students at the bachelor's level is 7623.

The University trains specialists of higher professional education in various fields in the Kazakh, Russian and English languages in 150 educational programs, including 79 bachelor's degree specialties, 58 master's degree specialties, and 13 PhD doctoral specialties.

Last year, Toraigyrov University took part in the "Green Metric" rating for the first time and entered the international rating of the most environmentally friendly educational institutions in the world, taking the 302nd place in it. Among domestic universities, the Гniversity took the 2nd place.

The Development Strategy of Toraigyrov University is focused on changing the organizational and economic principles of the university's functioning.
The result of the Development Strategy will be the transition of the university to a new qualitative state, justified by the dynamic development of the organization's human capital, the diversification of the management system and sources of investment financing, new integration and cooperation ties in the "University-Region" system. As a result, an updated business model for training personnel for the regional economy of an innovative type will be proposed and implemented in practice.
