Universidad APEC

Universidad APEC (UNAPEC) was founded in 1965 and granted accreditation by the Dominican government in 1968. The university has 10 schools and colleges, including accounting, languages, law, marketing, and tourism.

Universidad APEC is engaged in educating men in the plenitude of intellectual, physical and moral attributes, placing them in the environment as a fundamental element of collective progress, training of efficient and idoneous professionals and technicians in disciplines demanded by the development of contemporary science, arts and technology.

With a declaration of principles based in the preparation of idoneous personnel to satisfy the demand of industrial, commercial and administrative activities, bases its academic affairs in the idea that higher education must procure:

1. The altruist transmission of knowledge, based on free discussion of ideas,  rigour and ideological pluralism.

2. The integral development of personality, maturity and leadership qualities, and the acquisition of ethical, moral and aesthetic values and attitudes.

3. The education of men and women aware of their obligations towards society, with the maximum capacity allowing them to perform with efficiency in the world around them.

4. The offer of curricular contents oriented to objective valuation of scientific knowledge, integral education of the individual and diffusion of national and universal culture, complementing knowledge with humanistic components that conformed its behavior as individual and as social being.

5. The cooperation with national community in the solution of its problems, and the development of the nation, through the education of professionals and technicians useful to society, skilled to respond to the current socioeconomics y technical requirements.

   It is defined with the Mission “Educate creative and entrepreneurial leaders for a global economy, by means of a complete academic offer with emphasis in business, technology and services, integrating the faculty, investigation and extension, in order to contribute to the development of Dominican society.”

   Based in its education and instruction duty, with faculty with a professional profile contributing to the compliance of the mission, vision, objectives, values and philosophy of the institution and, in such sense, conjugates professional and human skills, among which stand out the analysis capacity, capacity of dialog and team work, creativity and proactivity to motivate and enable search of solutions, to favor and encourage leaders with entrepreneurial attitude.  UNAPEC´s faculty has obtained education at post graduate level, specialty and masters degrees, doctorates, and professional experience in the area that they teach superior to 2 years, to guarantee the link between knowledge and applicability in the business world.

   Likewise, it has administrative personnel that gather the knowledge at technical or academic level required for the position, adequate personality, ordinary reasoning, good behavior and legal age, minimum eighteen (18) years old.
