VSB – Technical University of Ostrava (VSB-TUO) offers a wide range of research-based PhD programmes at its seven faculties. Support of doctoral students is essential for the development of R&D at VSB-TUO. One way to support and motivate these students is to award extraordinary scholarships, therefore, motivational scholarships for doctoral students are granted annually. The aim of this activity is financial support for PhD full-time students who suitably fulfil their study obligations and achieve excellent results in R&D activities, which in turn should lead to the professional and scientific growth of the student. 

VSB-TUO also supports internationalisation in doctoral studies, where agreements on joint study programmes or individual cotutelle agreements have been made.
