The Federal University of São João del-Rei (UFSJ), based in São João del-Rei, near the capital Belo Horizonte, is ranked among the best institutions of higher education in the country. The UFSJ offers a wide selection of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in areas such as Health Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Music, Social Sciences, Engineering and Basic Sciences and Advanced Technologies.
