Today,IIT Hyderabad has 2381 students and 184 full time faculty. Of the2381 students, nearly half are post graduates; Ph.D-775, M.Tech-487,M.Phil-10 and M.Des-32. IITH has all the departments that one would find ata leading institution. IITH graduated 124 PhDs as on August 2017 . Faculty and students ofIITH are at the forefront of innovations: Academic innovations, and innovativeresearch. IITH had 572 publications, 5 patents filed, and over 120 sponsoredprojects. The institute is promoting innovative initiatives in pedagogy andfundamental research. A few initiatives in pedagogy are fractal creditprograms, minors in entrepreneurship, flip teaching, and UG programs inengineering sciences, etc. Energetic and bright young PhD degree holders pursuetheir research interests at IITH. The ongoing research conducted by these youngresearchers on the campus is expected to develop an inspirational environmentfor the young undergraduate and post-graduate students.
