The Indian Institute of Technology Patna (sometimes referred to as IIT Patna or IITP) is an Indian university with approximately 800 undergraduates currently enrolled. As its name suggests, the institute has a science and technology focus. For admission on all undergraduate programs at IIT Patna students must sit the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-Advanced. Successful applicants will then study a four-year degree, split across eight semesters. Postgraduate admissions to the institute's M.tech programs is decided by the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Students who perform well on the test will then be invited for interview.
