About

The People’s University, with its unmatched infrastructure and geo-special locational advantage, is unique in its nature with contribution to academics, research and locally suited collaborative model of rural uplifting cum societal development.
The People’s University campus is spread over 69.19 acres of area near the National Highway No. 86 in Bhopal. It is credited to be Central India’s largest single-campus University. Tree-lined avenues and lush lawns dotted with beautiful flowering shrubs soothe the eye and create an ideal learning ambiance.
The University is a non-profit and social cause enabler set up thus intensely enriching social fabric through education, training, research and collaboration. This is the only University of Central India having nine constituent units of seven different disciplines- Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, Nursing, Engineering, Management, Paramedical, collectively contributing through intra and inters disciplinary activities. The University has focused attention on setting up and diversification of its best practices and institutional distinctiveness. The University also publishes its own UGC approved indexed peer reviewed scientific journal – People’s Journal of Scientific Research.
The highly technical, interactive and motivational platforms provided to the students here enable them to mostly go in favor of their outcome status being self sufficiency and market suitability, the need of modern times. The Incubator established in the University aids in this and also helps in launch of startups.
People’s University has established Central Library in University Teaching Department and separate library in each Constituent Institutes to provide its students and staff a chance to explore a world of knowledge in a conducive environment. The Libraries house a rich collection of text and reference books, journals, magazines, audio/videos, CD-ROMs, research reports and Digital Library etc. in all areas and branches of study in all disciplines. Digital Library enables the students and staff to search the availability, request and reserve various books and other reference material available in the libraries at the comfort of their houses.
The classrooms architecturally designed with optimal room for natural light and air. They provide a vibrant backdrop to the academic achievements and offer a unique place to study, relax and develop. In this very special learning environment, LCD projectors, Desk Top etc are attached in classes.
The placement cell helps the students in getting placed in renowned companies. The University has launched a “Thousand Research Plan” which has lead to research publication in leading journals.
The University’s ‘Centre for Scientific and Research Development’, inaugurated by President of India in year 2008, is itself the only facility of its kind for high end researches in multidisciplinary fields thereby contributing largely for capacity building of faculties, post graduate students and undergraduate students of this University in along with those from within and around Madhya Pradesh.
