Satbayev University

Satbayev University is a national technical university in Kazakhstan and famous due to its developments and investigations in the field of "green" technologies, artificial intelligence, industrial automation, mining, and the oil industry. The University was established in 1934, today it includes 10 specialized institutes with more than 8 thousand students. Currently, it is an interdisciplinary university where, along with technical specialties, design, architecture and management classes are taught.

Throughout its history, Satbayev University has consistently carried out the mission of “learning through scientific research”. The university has a rich research infrastructure, actively collaborates with major industrial organizations and prominent scientists around the world and university employees participate in international conferences and meetings.

Satbayev University successfully implements Erasmus + program projects in Kazakhstan on academic mobility and improves the level of higher education.

One of the key areas of the university’s work is the education and creation of unique specialists for scientific and industrial spheres. Since 2017, the university has been the forge of personnel for the leader of the global nuclear industry - Kazatomprom Company. Since 2019, Satbayev University has been the base for the Industrial Advisory Board, which includes representatives of Chevron, Eni, Shell, TCO, NCOC, AgipKarachaganak, KazPetroDrilling, KazMunaiGas, BakerHughes and Schlumberger. Close cooperation with the company helps the university to provide practical skills for students in terms of real cases of the industrial sphere.

The university is actively developing educational innovations, like allowing young people from all over the world to have distance education using modern technologies.

Satbayev University is a leader in national and international rankings. In 2019 and 2020, Satbayev University received the status of the Technical University No. 1 in Kazakhstan according to the IQAA rating,
