S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University

Asfendiyarov University offers 40 accredited bachelor, masters, resident and PhD programs, which include 14 bachelor and 14 masters specialties. Consists of 8 schools: School of common medicine, K.Dosmukhamedov school of public medicine, School of dentistry, School of pharmacology, school of pediatry, International medical faculty, internship and residency faculty.  It is the oldest medical university in Kazakhstan, founded in 1930. Currently every third medical professional in Kazakhstan is alumni of Asfendiyarov University. There are 10 378 students studying including 1 773 international students. Educational establishment develops its own educational programs. It is included in TOP-200 of QS EECA rating. Currently university has 102 partner-universities, medical and science partners from 36 countries. University has three university hospitals. "Aksay" hospital - one of the oldest in the Republic of Kazakhstan children's multidisciplinary medical and diagnostic institutions. Each year more than 5 thousand children from Kazakhstan receive help here. Professor hospital, that focuses on helping patients with diabetes and ENT disease, Clinic of Internal Medicine - which is multidisciplinary diagnostic centre and Dentistry clinic.

To be eligible for undergraduate study at Asfendiyarov University, applicants should have completed secondary school education and pass the entrance exams in chemistry and biology.
